LOL
The only one that is embarrassed is you for not understanding what
Parallels virtualisation allows. You are the one spouting errors based
on unrealisted expectations. Parallels is ideal for quick trips into XP
for Office and IE etc. If you have a USB drive or a USB memory device
and you need to edit a Word doc or spreadsheet, without rebooting via
Bootcamp into XP, it can be very useful.
Since a universal binary of Office for the Mac is not available yet and
I own MS Office anyway I can use all my Office apps without having to
leave OS X.
However for Lightwave, combuston, AE and Photoshop I use Bootcamp and
Macdrive. No issues whatsoever.
A MacPro with Parallels and Bootcamp used with a modicum of intelligence
can be an extremely efficient tool. Try using the right tools for the
right task.
It amazes me when people get themselves worked up about a product not
doing what they _imagined_ it would even when there is a downloadable
demo to tryout and see if it does meet their expectations. Don't
rubbish a perfectly useful product because of your own incompetence.
