I read often read reviews of Toshiba equipment that indicate a 'poor user
interface'. Figuring it couldn't be worse then my Sony's stuff, I just
bought a Toshiba DVR. WOW! what a cluttered mess.
For example, I would have expected the RGB output to be set to 480p and on
the off chance that had to be 480i it would be in a setup menu. The unit
defaults to 480i and there's a button on the remote that does nothing but
let you change from interlaced to progressive. I can't believe they added
to the clutter of buttons to have a button to do something that is a one
time setting.
BTW: There's so many buttons that they have a flip out on the remote that
provides additional buttons. It won't be long before I break the hindge.
