That's two references you make to "full on bit striped RAID array".
Striping can be achieved with as few as two drives. Nine drives, of course,
will provide superior data transfer. You can do striping with different
RAID levels also.
What is this "full on bit striped RAID array" that "requires" nine drives?
What level of RAID does is use?
Got a link to any source of info on this (other than your own reliance)?
