A site that allows people to upload anything, with a promise to remove
copyright infringement when it is discovered, will certainly face the
problem of the site being used for violating copyrights. A site that
prescreens everything (e.g., Revver.com) and tries to prevent
copyright infringement from coming up in the first place will face the
problem of people complaining about them having "not as much content"
as the sites where copyright infringement is an ongoing problem.
It's an interesting scene in the age-old script forever being played
out by the key players Greed and Selfishness with occasional cameos by
Ethics and Principles. :-|
