You definitely have 5.1 with Vegas.
The full blown version is Vegas 7 now. And you can have it with DVD
Architect 4, which is a DVD authoring app. It used to be sold as is, I
mean, without DVDA but it seems it's not possible to buy it seperately
nowadays.
Lots of folks buy a used version (Vegas 5 or 6) on the net and then
upgrade to V7+DVDA4 bundle to save money.
The "Platinum" thing seems to be a plan you buy to have phone help for
a few weeks. Useless, IMHO since their forum (the Vergas forum) is one
of the most efficient ones I've ever seen; LOTS of dedicated people
there answering your questions efficiently and sometimes as quickly as
you just havin' the time to make coffee and come back... so why spend
another $50.00 for that Platinum plan that will last you like around 3
months when you already have hell af a data bank with search option in
the forum + these buddies to help you out ? :)
