I haven't noticed it happening yet. I think the unit acts like a
typical broadcast frame synchronizer, used all the time.

In the 25k range, depending upon options. But they have somewhat
streamlined versions for as low as 10k, I believe.

Here's how I see it. If I bought traditional, here's about what I'd
spend (new):
$20,000. SDI switcher w/chromakey option
$ 2,500. analog conversion eq, 4 channels
$ 6,500. CG
$15,000. two DVEs
$10,000. DDR/clip store w/control, 2 channels
$ 4,000. still store
$ 1,000. logo inserter

That's about $58k, and I haven't mentioned the robotic camera control,
which I am not currently using. For that price, I could buy two of
these.
