A discreet question about discrete. :)
I've read that in DTS-ES Discrete, such as that used with Lord of the
Rings Extended, it drops the middle rear speaker entirely if played
back on a DTS 5.1 system.
What I want to know is, does that mean that if I watch a DTS-ES
Discrete movie in 5.1, I might actually miss hearing some sounds from
the movie (for instance, dialogue coming from "behind" me)? Or are
they usually mixed such that sounds from the rear are duplicated to
the surrounds even if they aren't matrixed that way?
