More likely, nobody has any useful answer. I like to listen to recorded
lectures, but even the ipod won't let me bookmark stuff I have recorded
myself. Only stuff that has gone throught the itunes store. If you are
willing to risk modifying the firmware in your player, you can try
rockbox (free, open-source) with one of the players it claims to
support. Personally, I'm waiting until rockbox supports a player cheap
enough for me to gamble with, and hope my ipod lasts that long.
