All of JVC's HDV products, including the GY-HD250U, which incorporates
HD-SDI and a 1080i upconversion feature, are really 720p products and
thus belong more in the 296M category than in the 274M category.

You might want to consider one of Sony's 1/2-inch XDCAM HD camcorders,
either the PDW-F330 or the PDW-F350. If neither of those meets your
needs, then rental of a Sony HDCAM camcorder might be in order.
