Instead of hunting down the files and waiting on a slow dialup
connection, get a desktop with lots of memory and a good sound card (it
sounds like you could use a new one anyway). Download an audio recording
app like Audacity. Hook up the turntable and/or tape player to the computer
and transcribe the files yourself.
