You mean RAID 0? I'm going to expand the drive capacity over time with
other 500+ drives but want to pace myself with that so I don't feel the
financial pain so much. If your concerned about fan noise, and I am, I'm
plan B'ing the fan with one of these if it's too loud with the one that
comes with the chip
http://www.awd-it.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1409. Recommended as
it defo fits in the case I'm going with. I've got a wired network from up
to downstairs as until the N spec is sorted I'm not pissing about with
wireless streaming as it's not up to it. With a wire and gigabit channels
at both ends I'll be able to chuck stuff down to the HTPC from my main box
upstairs no probs and also store stuff locally on the 500GB disk I'm buying.
My main driver for this is I want to get all my DVD's ripped down to disk
and also play my tunes downstairs pain-free. I'm not planning to do any PVR
as I've got SkyHD. It'll be nice to play my downloaded TV shows on my
Pioneer 436SXE instead of watching them all on my PC monitor.
