I agree, but I am also the guy that would fight that and win,
considering my vast, purchased collection, and the fact that I have
ZERO burned copies, and there are ZERO retained files involved.

Just like DVRs for TV.

I'd bet I'd win.

I am not the guy they are after. 98% of these rip it retards are so
dumb they actually think that all DVDs (optical media) are burned!

Clueless, gang boy dipshits is what most of them are.

I have spent thousands of dollars making the studios as well as the
consumer electronics industry rich.

I think that companies like COBY should get their asses in a sling
for making horseshit hardware that fails to operate, and making region
free players. There were reasons the DVD logo boys set standards for
the hardware, and I feel they should be fined for not following them.

I notice that HD DVD has no region coding schema. I guess they
figure if you are rich enough to buy the player and media, you should
be able to watch it anywhere in the world. Also film releases are
getting closer to each other from region to region these days, and the
DVD releases are much quicker onto the streets after the film plays in
the theaters.

So yeah, every now and then I make a file that I watch on my PSP
that I made form my DVD collection. Who is to say that I didn't do a
standard capture to get it though?

Any hunts for retained evidence would falter as well. I use a
different machine for that, and retain NOTHING. It even has a
different drive in it at the time, and the drive is off site. They
would find nothing... nothing at all. Let alone the fact that I buy
every title I own.

I still want my replacement Rocky Horror disc thought, and as yet
haven't gotten around to sending in the bad one. Do you think they
still honor that offer of replacement?
