For years uts been Avi, the standard mpeg, and on and on for video on my
pc. It has looked horrible on my pc since the beginning.
Upon a video with great quality on the web (even bigger surprise)
I could not figure out what type it was.
I searched and concluded it was some type of mpeg4, no doubt converted from
a mac type source. It was just like watching TV, or a dvd.
any advice? Exact type of mpeg 4?
I have watched .mov quicktime mac files and they are very good too.
My plan is firewire card on my win based pc and a DV camera. The confusion
is whether to go with a digital camcorder cheaply, that does mpeg4 encoding
on its own, or the better DV.
I am just beyond noob, and still don't know enough.
Highly opinionated replies would be great ;o)
