so, i take it you're going to open a museum? ;-P
i have every admiration and respect towards people engaged in preserving our
heritage and keeping it in working order. i have a number of
'collectable' items myself, (and in working order); an 8" floppy drive,
complete with disks (ah, the dear old aston), a whole shelf full of the
most amazing glass valves (tubes). everything from plumbicon tubes to a
pye pe81. a grundig tape deck, with GOOD pinch rollers. a couple of
reels of 2" tape. hell, i even have an working spectrum zx81, with it's
original tape deck.
but, i wouldn't dream of actually using them for what they were made
for. goodness, we've come a long, long way since then.
so you're going to shoot a retro tv program?
without flames,
leslie
