It isn't about wooden boats and spitfires.
Most people would not look for the crappiest boats to restore.
They would look for a boat that had some redeeming history or craftsmanship.
As far as I know that camera/deck has neither.
If you were restoring an RCA TK76, or an Ikegami HL-79 (especially if
the camera had been used to document something special) then it might make
some sense.
It's hard to understand why you would want to restore an old KY-1900.
They never were a camera that could make nice pictures, and as far as
we know the KY 1900 was never known to be special.
