Of course you could. A dual processor PC, like the one I am writing this on
is worth more than $800. The idea that macs hold value is not based in
reality.
FCP is the slowest app I have ever used to edit video. If you buy anything
but the latest hardware you will not be happy because it is excruciatingly
slow.
