The only thing I'm backing up is my music as I can't be bothered ripping it
all again and ID3 tagging it etc. The DVD stuff if it blow's up I'll just
rebuild the drives manually. I want all available disks for space and no
redundancy, it's a risk I'm willing to take. The machine is doing
everything I want, it's not been without it's issues but it's now stable and
playing everything I chuck at with now I've installed the ffdshow plugin.
MediaPortal is great for a freebie app. The visualisation I'm running is
unning like a dog though, I've not sat down and troubleshooted it yet but I
think it's the mobo's onboard GPU feeling the pain although I could do with
a tool that let's me know what it's up to.
