Verbatim DVD+R DL seems to have a near-monopoly in this area and their best
retail price has been hovering around $2/disc (US$) for quite awhile. Their
competition in the DL market hasn't gained a good reputation, i.e. those
other brands of DL discs are less reliable according to reports I've read.
So, will they ever drop in price significantly?
I would consider a price under $1/disc to be cheap, and anything under
$.50/disc to be dirt cheap.
