Hi!
I'm planning on shooting some documentary (mostly based on interviews
shot in studio conditions) that I would later self-release on DVD and
thought about buying the Sony HVR-A1 (+ FireStore FS4) for that
purpose. What I worry about is not really picture quality, I think
this little cam will do the job the right way as it seems to be used
in broadcast conditions by some people, but the editing part.
My stuff is: Apple PowerBook 17", 1,67GHz G4, 2GB DDR + LaCie external
hard-drive.
Do you think I can edit HDV footage without problem, considering my
project is technocally very simple and I will use no effect except for
color correction? I know I can edit DVC-Pro HD, already tried with
some footage shot with a Panasonic HVX200 that I had found online, but
this cam + FireStore FS100 is way too expensive for me, so I'll stick
to the A1.
Thanks
Larry
