At last maybe I have found a group that can help me!
I recently bought a media player hard drive.
I tried to get the media player to play through the DVD recorder to
the TV. The DVD recorder is currently connected to the TV with a scart
cable and works fine playing and recording DVDs. I hooked the media
player using supplied AV cable and connected it to the colour codes
sockets at the front of DVD recorder marked video input (yellow) audio
L (white) and audio R (red) input.. However nothing happened, this
seemed strange as the DVD recorder manual shows these sockets are for
connecting other AV equipment such as Camcorder which (I assume) is in
the same category of input device as the media player.
I am pretty sure the problem is with the recorder receiving incoming
AV signals. There is a source button on the recorder itself and on
the remote and I get no response when I press it. I assume this is
the button that can change the settings to receive incoming signals.
I am stumped what to do....
HELP!
