Even ignoring your techinical ignorance between the formats, you don't have
to pay "$30 bucks [sic] for 'each' hi-def movie" on the HD disc formats
either; there's these things called rentals, which don't cost any more than
DVD rentals do.

Considering that you don't seem to feel that DVDs are a "reasonable price"
most of the time currently, and that you see no real difference between the
HD disc formats and cable, it seems to me that disc price is largely
irrelevent in your decision, unless you feel that a "reasonable price"
includes "free."

You'd have to own a player first. Are you saying you're fine with paying
$400-$1000 for a player as long as the disc prices are around where DVD
prices are today?
