============================
I bought my first new TV in 1968 - 19" color for $280
I bought my first stereo TV the year they came out (1980s??)
It cost $1000.00 for a 25" TV.
I bought my first RPTV about 1990 for $1500 (still use it).
I bought my first HDTV (Pioneer 710 Elite 64" RPTV) almost 5 years ago.
It listed at $7800 and I paid about $7K.
That means that over the past 40 years I have owned 4 TVs and it has cost
me under $10,000.00 - that is only $250 per year - less than $1 per day.
Go buy a GOOD HDTV.
