Which is 100% true for the full screenwith. But...
I was measuring the number of pixels inside of a square (the standard
way of measuring horizontal resolutions). The number of horizontal
lines, per picture height is:
240 - standard VHS or Betamax
330 - cable tv
400 - S-VHS or laserdisc
540 - DVD

Being an electrical engineer allows me to UNDERSTAND what I'm talking
about..... whereas you clearly do not. But rather than LISTEN TO
SOMEONE WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE, and try to learn something, you'd rather
stick your fingers in your ears & refuse to listen.
Stupid.
Draw a perfect square on a screen, such that its covers as much of the
image as possible:
How many pixels fit inside that square (left-to-right)?
- 540 if you're viewing an ideal DVD.
- 400 if you're viewing S-VHS
- 240 for VHS
- and so on
