Not sure, but you can probably rip the data without issue.

'Shrink and 'decrypter work around the region lock issue by reading
the raw data off the disc, but it might be worth checking if you have
an RPC2 drive (i'm a bit vague on this, but I think all drives made in
the last 3-4 years have RPC2 "locks" embedded, and each time you try
to change the region to watch a disc from elsewhere in the world, a
counter inside the drive clicks down one - I think you only have 4
region changes available from new, then it "sticks" and can't be
changed)
In the meantime, get hold of "DVD43" - it will bypass the RPC2
protection and prevent the drive from locking out (if it has it) - it
can be found here:
