Writer drives (CD and DVD) only have a lifespan of a year or two to my
experience (and several other people I know), you might need to get a
new drive. My CDRW/DVD-reader combo drive stopped working properly
after a year and a bit - it'll write CDs with only a bit of data ok,
but trying to write a full image leaves you with a part-broken data
CD. Worth checking into other possible problems first though.
