You'll have about one to two stops less sensitivity with an HDV cam
than with an equivalent standard definition cam, so light accordingly.
Camera shake, compared to standard definition shooting, tends to be
far more noticeable, especially when the footage is viewed on a
60-inch or larger HDTV, so try to use a tripod, monopod, etc. if at
all possible -- unless you're purposely going for a hand-held look,
that is.
For best focus, which is also more difficult to accomplish with these
small HDV camcorders, use an external monitor if at all possible.
If you haven't already, try to spend some time in advance with the
equipment that you'll be using, so as to become as familiar with it as
you can before the big day.
