I post things that I do not sell at all.
Take the Pioneer 940HX recorder which I have posted in here and other
groups. The link is to Pioneer in the UK for those that live in the
UK.
I do not sell outside Australia.
In aus.dvd if someone asks for help like in here I'll post a reply
which may help them out as I do in here and the authoring news group
of "alt.video.dvd.authoring".

No the News posts are things that I often do NOT sell.
The Panasonic and Pioneer recorders I do not sell at all.
I see a lot of questions on what is a good recorder to buy now and
will often reply with my experiences and what is coming so that a user
may want to wait for the next line of recorders.

More posts are on helping others in these news groups than
advertising. Advertising is allowed and in the charter for these news
groups. I don't advertise in used news groups but I do advertise in
groups where I am allowed to advertise. In here its one commercial
post a week that is allowed. I rarely advertise in here but will post
when a new firmware version is out on various drives and if its worth
updating the firmware along with other new toys that are coming many
of which I do not sell.
Over the years I've replied to many that have asked questions about
the Panasonic recorders. Even had people email me from outside
Australia and have given them detailed replies. I like to help people
where possible.
I've been in business since 1993 and before that I was a PC
troubleshooter from 1987 to 1993 and posted on the bulletin board
system using the old Bluewave software on Byteline BBS which is
usenet. Back then there was only a few hundred news groups and today
then are hundreds of thousands.
Anyway if you do not want to read my posts you can filter them out.
Its why I post clearly for a commercial post which is "COMM". Thi sway
you can set your news reader to filter out any commercial posts.
