Well according to posters at VideoHelp.com they're for making "backup
copies" in case the house burns down and the original DVD is destroyed or
eaten by the dog. Incredibly, no one at VideoHelp.com uses them to churn out
free copies for all their mates to enjoy. They even go so far as to destroy
the "backup copy" if the original is sold or otherwise disposed of. And god
forbid that anyone should use them for uploading to the internet as that
would be an instant banning offence. Of course they could just download a
copy and save themselves a lot of work. I did that once with Leon and was
issued with a formal warning even though I own the full price original.
