from a friend:===========
 A: You need to resize the 4:3 images to 16:9 or crop the 16:9 images to
 4:3. Most cameras downconvert from HDV to SD when you digitze into the
 editor and most editors have a resizing effect for reformatting to
 either 4:3 or 16:9. Some editors also let you mix resolutions so you
 can make decisions on size after you finish editing.

 From what is described I would edit everything 16:9 SD and deliver it
 as a wide screen dvd. That being said most people don't understand why
 wide screen is better so ask your client. They might not be into having
 the black bars at teh top and bottom of the image.

 2- When and what should I say to the client?

 A: Ask the client if they want 16:9 or 4:3. It's not a big deal.
 Since most of it is filmed in 16:9 I would recomend delivering in 16:9.
 It is tricky because when you have to make 4:3 into 16:9 it will blow
 up the image which can distort it a little, but since you only have 10
 minutes of SD footage you have to take a hit. If it is shot well you
 might have a good chance. If it isn't shot well then I would come up
 with some special effects to mask the error.

 If the client wants the stock footage then I would give them all SD.
 Downconvert the HDV so that they have a back up that they can use.
