Yes!! Can't say I like all (or even most) of it, but the concept, and
the blending of the song lyrics with your own material (least I think
that part is yurs?) is dead on. (Even if you wrote none of it, it's
still an original creation in the way you've put it all together.)
This is exactly the way to use others' material to create something
new. It reminded me of an artist I read about in a novel this week,
who painted reproductons of the old masters, chopped them up with an
axe, and glued the pieces back together in new ways.
Could be you've found your niche/groove.
