I have just completed a feature length documentary, see below, about a local
journalist.
Sadly, she was diagnosed with cancer just after principal photography was
completed and died last year.
Her family have been most supportive of this film, though naturally it has been
much delayed, and I have willing agreed to their request to have a copy of all
the source tapes.
There are about 86 tapes (DVcam PAL) all on a RAID array at present, that's
somewhere between 55 to 60 hours.
I suspect that the only choice I have is to go to mpeg and burn onto DVDs though
this is going to take forever even using a temporarily dedicated machine.
Any thoughts on other options and/or what's the maximum hours/quality tradeoff
for a DVD fit for this purpose?
regards
Stuart
