Incidentally, Garmin once tried to feed me that bullshit about
distribution and publishing - I felt compelled to remind them that
THEY THEMSELVES handled the distribution of the title they refused to
sell in europe without hardware that I didn't need or want.
In the end, I bought more hardware that came with maps, and with the
money "saved" over buying the maps alone (>£50) I bought
http://www.garminsuck.com and published their lame fucking excuses, as
well as confirmation from Navteq* that they were not responsible for
Garmins' pathetic excuses on map sales policies.
*Navteq provide Garmin with the map data, and there was a suggestion
that it was Navteqs' T&Cs causing the problem.
