Greetings to the Group!
Perhaps someone in here can answer a technical question for me. I'm
finally going to break down and buy a cheap-ish DVD player to hook up
to the TV. I will want to play commercial DVDs and also ones that I
make myself frim handycam videos. (This is in the UK>)
The question: is there any difference between players that are
specced as "multi-regional" and those that are "region-free"? Also,
I've been reading some buyer reviews and there seem to be instances
where some players can accommodate other regions but certain
combinations of numbers have to be hit on the remote - but it's
explained almost like it's arcane knowledge that wasn't advised in the
usuer manual.
