On a sunny day (Fri, 18 May 2007 14:32:09 GMT) it happened "David McCall"

You lose, now pay the 100$ and go to jail...
:-)
I left MS sof[t]ware when Linux 0.98 or so came out, at that time win3.1 was
on most computers...
I still have some disk with win98, and indeed I sometimes boot win98 for Epson PrintCD
and my Canon scanner driver.

Well I use linux, and can boot an antique PC in windows 98 as indicated above,
not for any 'real work', printcd also runs in Linux wine, but then sometimes gets confused.

Absolutely.
My view (I am at an advantage here) is: in Linux if it does not exist,
and I *really* need it, I write it.

Well, that issue has been discussed before, it is very old actually,
yes you can get some extra information from a mjpeg series of jpgs.
Video (as it is now) is really quite simple, just 2 dimensional math
over one or more frames (rectangulars).
When 3D really takes off.... we will have some learning curve again.
