Just looking at a website that just deals in Criterion titles, and it
took me back. I'm no big collector of their works, not being into many
foreign or art house films, but I do have Silence of the Lambs, The
Rock, Robocop and the Unbearable Likeness of Being. I very much still
respect their work ethic. It's a pity they no longer get the rights to
release DVDs of mainstream films, because while we have to thank them
for how special editions are put together these days, most sets are now
just pumping out the same bland stuff, and I think Criterion could again
point the way in respect of feature ideas.
Who cares for cast and crew "Talking head" interviews where they just
kiss each other arses? When Silence of the Lambs actually has a
commentary track from a real FBI agent, critiquing the accuracy of the
film.
I was always disappointed that they never got the rights to put Blade
Runner onto DVD

Thank you kindly

Oh people, know that you have committed great sins.
If you ask me what proof I have for these words,
I say it is because I am the punishment of God.
If you had not committed great sins,
God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.
