Hi guys,
I have about 8 hours of DigiBeta and BetaSP tape, the contents of
which I need to get into digital form so I can include parts of it in
a documentary I'm making.
Complicating matters, the material is in PAL Beta, not NTSC.
Questions:
1) What is a standard rate for Beta PAL to NTSC conversion?
2) Have you ever known of people who do this cutting deals for
"starving artist" types? My movie has virtually no budget... not
trying to get something for nothing, but any discount helps a lot.
3) What is the best digital format to convert to?
4) What is the difference between 4:4:4 conversion and 4:2:2?
5) Can anyone recommend any specific firms that do this in the Chicago
area?
