As far as I know, the VCL-HG0862 and the VCL-HG0862K are identical
except that the VCL-HG0862K includes a removable lens hood.
Sony specifies the VCL-HG0862 for use with the HDR-FX7/HDR-FX7E and
the VCL-HG0862K for use with the HVR-V1-series camcorders.
If they really are the same lens, then I can't see how image quality
could differ between the two of them.
