The problem is the people that have one American Idol aren't house hold
words. Ask 100 people on the street and I bet less than 10 could name all
the winners. I think of the point of On the Lot is to get them exposure then
they need to take a chance (the studios should be putting up the money) and
provide them with a budget that is at least at the low end of realistic. Not
so they can spend it on special effects. As George Lucas provide with the
last three Star Crap movies throwing big bucks in to special effects so you
end up with 2 hour plus commercials for ILM just doesn't do it. But, doing
movies even ones not loaded with special effects takes money and the price
on this show is a joke at best.
