Point the camera at a color bar chart, or if it can generate color
bars, do that. If it can't, go ahead and find color bars on google
image search and print them out, they won't be 100 pecent accurate,
but we have to start somewhere. Shoot those bars full-frame with the
camera after it has been white balanced indoors on the *indoor* (2600k
or so) setting. Then write us back here and tell us if the color
coming thru the switcher and monitor are the same as the bars you see
with your own eyes, or if not, what each bar left to right look like.
I suspect your chrominence phase is out of adjustment inside the
switcher. Yes, there should be a menu with controls to adjust this,
the manual would be a help.

If you can do a hard wipe or dissolve between two live cameras and not
get a glitch, the cameras are probably already genlocked to the
switcher. When I explain this part to kids, I put it this way: ever
try to wipe a windshield on the outside while the wipers are going?
You need to work to a set speed to match the times they have swept out
of the way. The genlock sends a timing pulse like a little clock or
heartbeat, that tells each video device in the chain when the top of
the scanning beam begins, so they all start at the same time. So when
we make effects or cuts, the cutting happens between the scans, not in
the middle of them, like the wiper blade whacking your knuckles.
Color information in the video signal is defined by the timinng of
when it's pulses are sent, and this is a very very tiny difference in
timing we're talking about. I suspect this is what's not set right in
your swticher. You will have to advance or retard this timing, like
sparkplug timing on an engine, to get the faces the right color. On
older gear it was a manul adjustment of many little potentiometers on
circuit board cards witha little green screwdriver called a "greenie".
Modern vesions are mostly software-driven, and you adjust sliders on a
menu.
