I'm looking to replace my Plextor PX-708A DVD writer because it has
problems reading audio CD's, one of my major activities.
Until recently I was planning to get a SONY/NEC/Optiarc drive, but I've
decided to boycott Japanese products until they stop whaling.
The Samsung SH-S182D seems to fit my requirements, but am I going to
find "Made in Japan" or "Made in Korea" when it arrives?
Of course, this just shifts the problem slightly, as I'm not sure of
Korea's stance on whaling either. So nest stop, Lite-On, and a check of
where Taiwan stands on whaling. This isn't as easy as I'd hoped it might be.
