Err??? No.. The original release was changed from the workprint because
of bad feedback at the Dallas and Denver test screenings, the stupid
Americans couldn't work it out, so the voice over was added and the
happy end was tacked on, hardly some drastic editing, as with "Brazil"

Yes it was, but he was only allowed to do the sweeping edits of cuting
the end and adding the botched unicorn scene. The original unicorn
scene was lost at the time. But by and large he was happy with it.

Don't be expecting any vast changes, it was not that he was unhappy with
the Director's cut, but when WB come to you and let you really go to
town, what the hell, you can iron out those litle glitches and
continuity errors. Yes they found the original unicorn sequence, and
that can be restored, and yes, Ridley may have looked through all the
unedited material, and decided he liked one or two little scenes that he
is happy to put back in, but by and large, I don't expect it to be more
than a minue or so different from the Director's cut. More, can indeed,
be less.

Oh people, know that you have committed great sins.
If you ask me what proof I have for these words,
I say it is because I am the punishment of God.
If you had not committed great sins,
God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.
