More helpful replies, thanks.
Now, I re-configured the output to not dedicate a separate phase to unit
appliances. This results in more messy cabling, but a better result
overall.
Now, phase 1 is just lights, constant load, at 80% of stated rating
(i.e. 22.4 amps of a 27 amp maximum). That's a 4K HMI and 2 redheads @
650W each.
Phase 2 is lights, smoke machine and airbrish compressor, 69% constant,
83% surge (i.e. when the smoke machine and/or compressor cycle). 2x 2K
blondes, a redhead, a smoke machine and airbrush compressor (the redhead
will cycle as makeup needs it - not at the same time as filming)
Phase 3 is lights and electric jug, 60% constant, but 94% surge (when
the jug is used to boil water - gotta have tea & coffee available!) 2x
2K blondes and a 2200w jug.
Thanks for your help/suggestions. The film's called "The Green Man", if
you happen to stumble upon it sometime...
