Do you *really* have an equal decision of which to shoot in?
Usually it is much easier/cheaper to shoot in the standard
that your equpment is (likely the standard in the area where
you are.)
As others have observed PAL has slightly more resolution,
but lower framerate. My personal observation is that it is
easier to "upsample" the frame size without visual artifacts
than to "upsample" from PAL 25 FPS to NTSC 30 FPS (i.e.
attempting to create whole frames from scratch, as it were.)
