Can the video from both hd-dvd and blu-ray be decompressed on the same
chipset? At present you need a shit powerful PC to decode 1080p mpeg2,
mpeg4, and hx264.
Maybe its just a case of the chips reducing in cost as numbers increase. I
have never looked inside a blu ray or hd-dvd, but got the impression that
the pre production models where little more then PCs in a case.
