I'm getting the following problem - does anyone know how to fix it?
When I play back my tapes from my XM1 the image is split into 8
horizontal bars - alternating between the image and a grey or green
bar. The bars are quite chunky as you can imagine.
This still happens when I take that tape out and play it back in
another camera, a brand new camera in fact, so I think it can't be the
camera, must be the tape... but
The tapes were brand new when I recorded on to them, and the picture
was fine as recording.
Here is the weird bit. Sometimes, the stripes go away. Sometimes, when
I'm watching a tape, and it switches from one take to another take,
they will appear and disappear with the takes. Which is why I think it
might be the camera, not the tape. But I've tried them in another
camera.
It doesn't seem very logical and seems really strange the lines will
sometimes come and go.
Any ideas?
