This isn't particularly brilliant, but if you tend to like Sony stuff
and apparently have no problem with solid state flash memory storage
(you mentioned the Panasonic AG-HVX200, which I assume you know is a
P2-based camcorder except in DV mode where you have the option of
using mini-DV cassettes), you might want to wait a few months and then
take a look at the Sony XDCAM EX camcorder. Final details on the
product, including its exact model number, should be forthcoming at
IBC in Amsterdam in September. For more details now, either search the
Web for "XDCAM EX" or just read the short write-up on the subject on
my HDV Web page (URL in sig).

In the meantime, you can save up your spare change for a good HDTV, in
case you don't already own one. :)
