1. Being nomonated for a fucking Academy Awards has ZERO to do with Quality.
I am in awew of how some people view the choices made by people who belong
to the academy. Many of whom are aquaintances of mine. It means ZERO.

beautiful movie by "anyone's standards"

What is GOOD to you may suck to Spex. He's right here. You are arguing an
abstract point which you can't quantify. Al Gore's movie, a huge piece of
shit and a sweaty stupid fat asshole, was an unpolished terd. And the
Academy accepted it because they're all fucking nuts. How arrogant for
Americans to line up each year and praise the decisions of a few thousand
degenerate assholes.
