Hello from Finland.
I have a Pioneer DVR-540HXN-S (Nordic edition) which is just fine equipment
but it suffers some odd phenomena.
1. It does not mark Auto Chapters even if the option (15 min) has been chosen.
2. If program has picture aspect changes, the equipment divides every aspect
and when copied to the DVD you may have a lot of titles. If aspect change
is very short (less than 2 secs) the equipment can't copy the program to
the DVD. We have at least one station http://www.nelonen.fi which changes
the aspect automatically and it is possible that the aspect is wrong on
the beginning of commercial or movie and it changes in about one second.
All these programs are unable to be copied to the DVD unless you edit it.
What to do? Is this typical to this equipment or is it a malfunction?
I have pushed the power switch over 5 second to boot the machine but no help.
When I copy using Copy List there can be seen a warning sign in the thumbnail
picture telling that this program has been divided. The user's manual doesn't
tell what this warning sign means.
