Probably from people who don't know that this ISN'T the series that came
out on the "Red, yellow and blue boxes" three or four years ago--
It's that new print/sound remastered one with the fancy retro-CGI
effects that's been airing on local affiliates for the last *one* year,
and looks well into the Freakin'-Sweet end of the spectrum.

All Paramount's "40th Anniversary" talk at the time was to cover up the
then hostility against the fact that they were pushing the show for
Hi-def broadcast..And that the whole point of all that Fiddling-Around
that the purists were complaining about, was in trying to make a 1967
network-budgeted TV show look good in 1080 (in whatever form)--
Which is why they had to release it on HD-Combo disk, so all those that
weren't planning to get the new toys (yet) and wanted to pick up the
show on Plain Old DVD wouldn't complain about being "left out".

(I mean, c'mon, even the Digital Bits article the OP plagiarized half
his post from admitted it was the New show--
And even Bill made it sound as if you couldn't still get the Original if
you didn't like it.)
