The original HDD stopped functioning in the DVD Recorder.
After removing it and connecting to my computer IDE channel,
BIOS recognises the HDDt ...but,,, the ID is corrupted (contains
illegal characters) due, probably, to the HDD circuit board firmware
IC fault.
The drive does not show up under Win'98, Win-XP or Linux.
